Dow Championship unveils new logo reflecting vision and growth

LPGA Tour team event will celebrate its fifth anniversary June 24-30 at Midland Country Club in Midland, Mich.

The Dow Championship today proudly announces the launch of its new tournament logo, which will be displayed throughout all promotional efforts and onsite at the event in June. This revitalized emblem marks a significant milestone in the tournament’s history – helping to mark the event’s fifth anniversary and symbolizing the Dow Championship’s continued commitment to the Great Lakes Bay Region.

"We are thrilled to introduce our new logo, which captures the spirit of the Dow Championship and sets the stage for our continued growth and passion for our home region," said Carlos Padilla II, Executive Director of the Dow Championship. "As we embark on this exciting new era of the event, we remain steadfast in our mission to the tournament and the Great Lakes Bay Region.”

The new logo features a modern design with sleek lines to reflect the Dow Championship’s forwardthinking approach and unwavering dedication to making the region an even better place to live and work. Each year, the event is estimated to have generated a significant economic impact of more than $20 million in the region.

The unveiling of the new logo comes as the tournament prepares to celebrate its fifth anniversary this June. The Dow Championship (formerly known as the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational) got its start in 2019, as the first-ever team event on the LPGA Tour with each team comprised of two players. The event took a one-year hiatus in 2020 due to the impacts of the COVID-19, but has been hosted each year since.

“This represents a pivotal moment for the Dow Championship as we celebrate the tournament’s incredible five-year history, while also positioning the event for enhanced visibility and impact in the future,” said Wendy Traschen, Tournament Director. “We hope this new emblem signifies our continuedcommitment to the LPGA Tour, local businesses, volunteers, nonprofit partners, and fans.”

As the LPGA Tour’s signature annual team event, the Dow Championship returns to Midland Country Club June 24-30, and will feature a field of 72 two person teams competing over 72 holes in both alternate shot (foursome) and best ball (foursome) formats. Alongside the tournament, the week-long community event includes activities for the entire family, including the Eat Great Trail, an on-site STEM Center for kids, a youth golf clinic and more.

This event welcomes everyone with free daily activities for youth, affordable tickets, and complimentary admission for children 17 and under, as well as current and former Military personnel.
