Event Description: The purpose of the Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguarding participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS arrive and take over. Must bring swim suit, towel and course materials and attend every class to pass course. Book will be given to you at the first class. Upon passing course, participants will receive a lifeguard, first aid and CPR/AED certification valid for 2 years. Prerequisite: 300 yard swim, dive down 9 feet and retrieve a 10 lb brick.
