Luther Manor Welcomes Back Therapy Graduates and Unveils New ADL Room

Luther Manor provides exemplary rehabilitation from illness, injury, or surgery. Luther Manor recently welcomed back their therapy graduates from the past year to a “therapy reunion.” “We wanted to get everyone back together and celebrate their successes,” said Courtney Robishaw, Census Development Coordinator.

Recently, the rehabilitation space at Luther Manor doubled in size. What once was an activity space for residents has been transformed into a new Activity of Daily Living (ADL) Room. “We are so excited to have this new offering to our rehabilitation residents,” said Diane McGourty, Administrator at Luther Manor. “This gives our rehab residents a more thoughtful approach to getting back on their feet.”

The new space is dedicated to improving the therapy residents’ Activity of Daily Living (ADLs). It has been designed to help residents optimize and maintain their abilities to self-perform tasks such as toileting, eating, shopping, cooking, and hygiene, by utilizing a combination of walking exercise and range of motion programs. The new space includes a shopping center; a kitchen area to practice cooking; and a bedroom area to practice grooming tasks and making the bed. The new ADL Room was unveiled during our Therapy Reunion which involved a ribbon cutting ceremony. In addition to the new ADL Room new equipment has been added to the existing therapy room.

The rehabilitation center at Luther Manor provides the best equipment and talented therapists to assist our residents in their therapy sessions. Upon completion of therapy, our rehabilitation team will provides our therapy residents with a comprehensive discharge plan for your return home.
