Saginaw Promise Working to Affect Change through Scholarships

Saginaw Promise volunteers and staff are working to make a difference in Saginaw by promoting and supporting postsecondary education for students who live in and graduate from a high school within the Promise Zone (the geographic footprint of the Saginaw Public School District—City of Saginaw, Zilwaukee, Kochville and that area of Buena Vista designated as part of the Saginaw Public School District). “Through our focus on postsecondary education and our Saginaw Promise Scholarship, we are working to make real change in Saginaw and in the lives of our children, by helping them pursue an education that will open doors to life’s opportunities and future success”, stated Joyce Seals, Chair of the Saginaw Promise.

The Saginaw Promise scholarship is a “last dollar”, place-based scholarship. To apply, high school seniors must complete and submit the on-line Saginaw Community Foundation Scholarship Application.
